I have this vision of Default Resiliency by Design because this is what I'm wired to do: anticipate long-term risk in ways we cannot even fully wrap our minds around. I have ridiculous standards: I want to steer our planet toward choice selection that doesn't skate on a razor's edge of risk management, but rather aims to build and maintain infrastructure in a way that is default ~ resilient by design ~.
Reviewing this also gives me a chance to highlight why sustainability tech and industry, at least of 10 years ago, was kind of infuriating. There may be other companies relevant to decarbonization that were around 10 years ago, but I may have assessed them to be too indirect, as we are interested in companies and technologies that are capturing CO2 or similar carbon emissions and avoiding their release, and in so doing, are creating carbon value in materials or energy product in some way.
In the last weeks, I started talking about companies I covered 10 years ago - companies that were not biofuels though did talk about themselves as carbon capture - usually what today is called CCU - Carbon Capture and Utilization.
